Advanced Veterinary Care is Celebrating!
The doctors and staff at Advanced Veterinary Care (AVC) would like to thank the people (and pets!) of San Elijo Hills and the surrounding communities for making our first four years in business so rewarding.
On March 12th, 2015, doctors Sunshine Riehl and Paula Thomas opened the doors of their 2,400 square foot, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital for the first time. The response from the area residents was immediate and positive; and through community outreach and positive word of mouth, AVC has become the premiere provider of veterinary services in the community. The AVC mission “To promote pet wellness and safety through client education, preventative medicine, and aggressive emergency care when necessary” and a commitment to medical excellence are just two of the core values that define the doctors and staff of AVC. In addition to providing quality pet care, AVC has a strong educational mission and provides learning opportunities to the children in the community. Our Pet Awareness Workshop Series (PAWS) has been a huge hit with children of all ages. The demand for PAWS is expanding, with requests from home-schoolers, Girl and Boy Scout troops, and church groups. We have even added a PAWS class with pocket pets and exotics.
So to all of those who have supported us over the last four years, a heartfelt thank you from AVC and all our staff. We are so glad you chose us for your veterinary needs. If you are new to the area or are new to owning a pet, we look forward to meeting you and keeping your pet healthy long into the future. Lastly, to the future veterinarians we see in our PAWS classes, thank you for sharing our love of animals and constantly reminding us that a happy, healthy pet is an important member of a happy, healthy family.
